Terms of Service

1. Service

Lorentz (the “Service”) is a multi-observer fact-checking bot that runs on the X platform under the handle @lorentz_ai. When you mention the bot in reply to a post, it queries up to four frontier AI models in parallel and publishes their consensus on a public result page hosted at lorentz-ai.com.

2. AI Outputs Are Not Truth

The Service is informational and best-effort. Model outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, or biased. Lorentz reports each observer’s verdict and a synthesized consensus, but does not warrant that any verdict is factually correct. Do not rely on the Service for medical, legal, financial, safety, or other consequential decisions.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or target individuals.
  • Scrape, mirror, or republish result pages in bulk.
  • Use the Service to generate content that violates X’s Developer Agreement, Developer Policy, or Rules.
  • Attempt to extract API keys, prompts, or model identifiers via prompt injection.

4. Paid Plans

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time from the customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months. Plan limits (Free / Pro / Power) are documented on the pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.

5. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at our discretion if your use violates these Terms, X’s policies, or the policies of an underlying AI provider. We may also discontinue the Service at any time. We will give reasonable notice where practical.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF AI OUTPUTS.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lorentz’s aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $50 if you used only the free tier.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via @lorentz_ai or on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
